Adrian Willetts has rejoined Bridgepoint as a partner in its lower middle market business, Bridgepoint Development Capital, from LDC.
Adrian first joined Bridgepoint in 1990 in Birmingham, becoming a director in 2000 and assuming responsibility for Bridgepoint’s investment activities in the Midlands in 2001. He joined LDC in 2007 as a managing director. He qualified as a chartered accountant at Price Waterhouse in 1986.
Welcoming the appointment, Rod Selkirk, joint managing partner of Bridgepoint Development Capital, said that Adrian’s extensive track record of investing in lower middle market businesses in the UK, will be especially relevant.
“Adrian will become a core member of our UK team with a particular focus on the UK regional markets where the experience he has will be instrumental as we target good investment opportunities across the UK.”
Bridgepoint Development Capital was launched in 2009 and has nine investment executives who focus on transactions, typically buyouts, valued at less than €150 million in the French, Nordic and UK markets. It is currently investing BDC I, a £300 million fund.
