CarPark

(formerly Nordisk Parkering AB) was acquired by Bridgepoint in 2001. It was the largest privately-owned car park operator in the Nordic region, managing approximately 180,000 car parking spaces in the major towns and cities of Sweden, Denmark, Finland and Norway. It provides two principal services: car park management and parking enforcement.

Bridgepoint was attracted by CarPark's leading position in its marketplace as well as its ability to increase revenues year on year thanks to rising demand in excess of supply for car parks. In March 2002, CarPark acquired Scanpark AS in Norway, resulting in it becoming the number two in the Norwegian market.

CarPark was sold to trade acquirer Q-Park of Holland in June 2006, resulting in a 7.5x money multiple on Bridgepoint's original investment.
