Bridgepoint, the European private equity firm, has appointed Sir James Crosby to its European Advisory Committee.
Sir James (50) recently stepped down from the board of HBOS plc where he had been Chief Executive since 2001. He had previously been CEO of Halifax plc and began his career as a fund manager at Scottish Amicable.
A graduate of Oxford University and fellow of the Faculty of Actuaries, he is also a non-executive director of the Financial Services Authority and ITV plc.
