Borawind is a wind generation business comprising a portfolio of eight wind farms in Castilla y Leon.
With 330 MW of installed capacity, Borawind is one the largest non-utility owned platform of Spanish wind generation plants. It was acquired from listed construction conglomerate ACS. The development of renewable energy sources is a global growth sector and Spain has been a pioneer in the development of the wind industry.
Following the implementation of an operational improvement programme, the investment in Borawind was realised in February 2016 when it was sold to Cefiro and DHAM, a consortium of international investors with interests in the energy sector.
