Nordic Cinema Group (‘NCG’) is the largest cinema operator in the Nordic and Baltic regions, with 70 cinemas, 472 screens and approximately 68,000 seats in almost 50 cities. It is the undisputed market leader in the region holding over 40% of the share of total Nordic box office revenues. NCG is also a top five buyer of Hollywood productions in Europe.
In the Nordic region cinema-going remains a key part of individuals’ personal leisure time. NCG’s cinema estate consists of well-invested modern and comfortable cinemas with the latest technology. Sites are typically formed around large and mid-sized cities with innovations including premium seating and VIP screening rooms as well as the first IMAX screen in the region in 2015.
In January 2017 contracts were exchanged for the sale of NCG to AMC Entertainment Holdings, Inc.
