Following the implementation of an operational improvement programme, the investment in Borawind was realised in February 2016 when it was sold to Cefiro and DHAM, a consortium of international investors with interests in the energy sector.

With 330 MW of installed capacity, Borawind is one the largest non-utility owned platform of Spanish wind generation plants. It was acquired from listed construction conglomerate ACS. The development of renewable energy sources is a global growth sector and Spain has been a pioneer in the development of the wind industry.
