In the financial services sector we divide our coverage into ‘technology’ and ‘services’. Technology influences everything: from distribution and how a product is brought to market, to improving internal efficiency for financial institutions as well as improving choice and service levels for customers. Our focus here is primarily two-fold: payments providers (merchant acquirers, ISOs, processors etc), and providers of software for the financial services sector, across all sub-verticals.
In the services segment we are interested in verticals within insurance (including underwriting, broking, services into the insurance industry and software), asset and wealth management, and specialty lending, especially where smart and capital light financing work hand in hand with outstanding levels of service.
