Carsten leads the DACH region with responsibility for Bridgepoint’s Investment activities in Germany and German speaking Europe (DACH). He joined the Firm in 2019 after working for almost 30 years at Boston Consulting Group (BCG).
Carsten currently sits on the board of PharmaZell.
Prior to joining Bridgepoint, Carsten led BCG in Germany, Austria and Eastern Europe through the last 6 years and was a member of BCG's management team in Europe.
Working in BCG since 1990, Carsten has operated with clients in several industries, including: airline and automotive, building and construction, energy, consumer and industrial goods, MedTech and Telco. During recent years, coverage has been within private equity firms, family businesses and the public sector, centring on strategy development, M&A/PMI, operational efficiency improvement, organisational development and digital transformation.
He is a member of the Presidential Committee of the Senckenberg Natural Research Society and is the Chairman of the board of trustees of the initiative "JOBLINGE," which helps unemployed young people and young refugees integrate into the labour market.
Carsten studied Industrial Engineering at TU Darmstadt, Germany. He is fluent in English, Italian and French.
