Pete Labbat

ECP Managing Partner

Pete is a Managing Partner of ECP. He is involved in all areas of the firm’s investment activities, serves as the Chairman of the Investment Committee and Valuation Committee. Pete is also a member of ECP's Risk and ESG Committees. From June 2015 onwards, he co-led the Mezzanine Fund with Andrew Singer.

Pete serves on the boards of Next Wave Energy Partners, LP, Harvestone Low Carbon Partners GP, LLC, and NCSG Crane & Heavy Haul Corp.

Prior to joining ECP in 2006, Pete spent 13 years in Goldman Sachs’ Investment Banking Division, where he had senior-level coverage responsibility for electric and gas utilities and independent power companies throughout the United States and was responsible for mergers and acquisitions in the natural resources sector.

Pete received a B.A. in Economics from Georgetown University and an M.B.A. from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
