The leading provider of specialist care services to the high-acuity autism segment in Sweden

In February 2016 Solhagagruppen was sold to Ambea for an undisclosed sum.

This investment was made by Bridgepoint Development Capital.

Solhaga provides high-quality, individually tailored care programmes to municipalities seeking to provide specialist care.

It offers a complete range of care services such as group/assisted living, daily activities, diagnostics, schools and leisure activities through 100 facilities across the country.

This was an opportunity to acquire the No. 1 operator in the highly-fragmented autism care sector, recognising both the highly-stable nature of the business as much as the strong growth potential to undertake a selective ‘buy and build’ programme.

During the investment period, care facilities and revenues tripled and the business expanded geographically. Significant investment was also made in its operating platform, staff training, quality procedures, support functions and systems infrastructure.
